Lets talk about the cost

Take home whitening – £300

Our take home treatment begins with an initial consultation to examine the mouth and soft tissues and give you the opportunity to discuss your specific requirements. To ensure the best results from treatment we usually recommend a thorough clean by the hygienist prior to beginning the whitening procedure. The cost includes the consultation, impressions, whitening trays and 3 gels.

Guaranteed B1 shade - £400

The same as above but you receive 6 gels, whitening floss and a de-sensitising toothpaste, you are also guaranteed a shade B1.

In-surgery whitening – £450

As with the take home treatment we begin with an initial assessment of your teeth, and we recommend a thorough cleaning by the hygienist to attain the best possible results from treatment.

There are two elements to treatment – PhillipsZoom™ lamp and a high-quality hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel which, used together, will result in brighter, whiter teeth. You can choose to whiten the teeth by a couple of shades for a subtle brightening effect or a more noticeable transformation.

During treatment a special whitening gel is applied to the teeth. This is followed by an application of the Philips Zoom™ lamp. Treatment consists of two or three 10-minute applications with a rinse off and rest in between.

Combined whitening - £750

This option combines the in-surgery and take-home whitening for the very best results. Following in-surgery whitening with the Philips Zoom™ lamp you will be given whitening trays that can be used at home at a convenient time to achieve your preferred level of whitening.

FAQs

What are the benefits of whitening?

For the majority of people, the benefits are cosmetic. Over time our teeth change, the ageing process, repeated exposure to coffee, tea, red wine and strongly coloured curry or pasta sauces all make their mark. Those who smoke will find their teeth darken even more quickly. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive, effective way to brighten your teeth and the results can be seen quickly.

How does teeth whitening treatment work?

Treatment involves the use of a whitening gel that releases a safe level of hydrogen peroxide into the teeth to bleach out deep as well as surface staining from natural teeth. Some people may experience sensitivity but this subsides once the course of treatment has been completed.

Who should not have tooth whitening?

Teeth which seem at an acceptable shade, which is subjective for clinician and patient to decide.

Presence of composite restorations mixed with natural tooth structure, which will not lighten with treatment. They may need replacing post whitening. If the restorative needs of the patient are too high, whitening may not be a good idea.

Porcelain restorations such as crowns and veneers will not lighten, and may require replacement after whitening treatment. Patients need to be made aware of the process and costs for doing this prior to teeth whitening, to ensure they consent to this.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Patients who are unable to be compliant.

Patients with unrealistic expectations.

Patients with exposed cementum and exposed root surfaces, as cementum does not lighten with teeth whitening agents.
